Your contribution will help us to fund one Jesuit Volunteer Corp member for one year. He or she will commit to serve low-income Latino families who are marginalized by society and to live in an apostolic community with other Jesuit volunteers. About 300 Jesuit volunteers (JVC's) work each year with grassroots organizations like us.

The JVC will work as a Community Coordinator in the neighborhoods of Central City, Mid-City, Treme and 7th Ward (New Orleans, LA) addressing hunger and poverty by developing strategies in urban agriculture development and food enterprise development.

Our organization needs to raise $12,000 to cover housing, utilities, food stipends as well as health care insurance and a small personal stipend. Your contribution of $10, $20, $100, $500, $1000, $5000 or $10,000 or any other amount will help us cultivate a community of food growers and producers.
